TAKE A GLASS

AND POUR IN IT TWO TEASPOONS OF SUGAR, LEMON ZETS ANDONE SPOON OF LIQUOR. HEAT EVERYTHING WITH THE STEAM WAND UNTIL THE SUGAR IS COMPLETELY DISSOLVED. THEN ADD SLOWLY A HOT ESPRESSO, SO THE COFFEE WILL NOT GET MIXED WITH THE LIQUOR. MORETTA IS USUALLY SERVED IN A SMALL TRANSPARENT GLASS, ALLOWING THE DRINKER TO SEE THE FOAM, THE COFFEE AND THE LIQUOR. BEFORE DRINKING IT THE MORETTA HAS TO BE STIRRED.

IT IS AN EXCELLENT DIGESTIVE OR AFTERNOON ENERGIZER.
